Scuba Diving In Bali
Killed despite a series of terrorist bomb attacks in 2002 and 2005, hundreds of tourists and local tourism industry hard hit for a short time, the tropical Indonesian island of Bali still attracts many tourists to leave.
Tourists are attracted by the rustic charms of the island, culture and mystical tradition, spectacular tropical landscape and beautiful white sand beaches. Many of these tourists are also scuba divers and diving in Bali. Finally, Bali was selected from several diving magazines as one of the top ten dive sites in the world.
Bali has many dive sites where there is large underwater scenery and marine life abounds. Take a tour through some of the dive sites in Bali.
Sanur and Nusa Dua – These two sites are only 5 minutes from the coast and are very accessible. Beginners and inexperienced divers enjoy diving here because of the current very low heat. Visibility with the seasons is low to moderate. Although the hard corals are scarce, making many types of colorful fish for the shortfall. Soft corals and sponges you will also be on coral growing.
Nusa Penida and Lembongan island – Drop off reef diving is the main attraction of these islands. There is a 45 minutes speed boat for the islands. Visibility of the water is well, because the outer islands of the coast and therefore less stress. The current is very strong and can enjoy drift diving divers. Sometimes the current can be too strong and dives can be abandoned.
There is a very good selection of hard corals, sea fans and colorful many large pelagic fish to see. Highlights of diving here is sightings of large schools of fish, sweet lips, giant turtles, sharks and manta rays.
Amed Beach Jemeluk – These sites are within an hour and a half of Denpasar, a popular tourist destination. Only experienced divers can dive here because of the strong current. The diving here can be spectacular because of the long coral reef slopes, and cliffs. The water visibility is moderate to good. This site is supposed to be the home of the best community of hard corals in Bali.
Padang Bay – This dive site diving in Bali have a flat bottom ocean floor and coral mixed sandy soil is made. Because of its proximity to the coast, the water visibility is best judged to be moderate. The attractions here are frequent observations of large triggerfish and blue-spotted rays.
Wreck Diving in Tulamben – For those who like wrecks, the dive site in Bali that you cannot miss. Water visibility here is fair to good, and the current is usually mild. Night dive on this wreck is considered by many divers as spectacular.
The wreck of the USS Liberty sunk in World War 2 by Japanese submarine torpedoes 1942 because the wreck is so close to the beach, divers can easily swim the wreck from the beach.
